BIBO GRAN VIA HISTORY

BIBO Gran Vía is located in the heart of the city.
This majestic street, at the foot of the Alhambra, was built at the end of the XIX century. Majestic buildings were erected on both sides of the street such as the Church of the Sacred Heart and different shops opened, giving it the importance that has led it to be considered the main street of the city.

In later years, the only palace that had a presence on the street was built; the Muller Palace, today turned to the headquarters of the Government Subdelegation. A little further on, the Olympia Coliseum was opened, which has disappeared over time. In addition, on its route we can find other emblematic buildings for the city such as the Padre Suárez High School, the Teacher Training College, today turned to the headquarters of the Andalusian Government, and the Central Bank building.

Gran Vía separates the Cathedral and the Royal Chapel from the Albaicín neighborhood with its steep narrow streets, flanked by white houses and where you can best feel the Arab reminiscences of the city.
